Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Puddle Pals ("we," "us," "our") makes the Puddle Pals mobile game for iPhone and iPad ("the App"). This policy explains what information the App does — and, mostly, does not — handle, and applies to everyone who uses it, including children.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. Specifically, the App:

• Does not require creating an account, logging in, or entering a name, email, or any other personal detail.
• Does not include ads or ad networks of any kind.
• Does not include analytics, crash-reporting, or tracking software from us or any third party.
• Does not access contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.
• Does not connect to the internet to send information anywhere, and works fully offline.

3. Information stored on your device

The App saves your game progress — which ducks you've collected, how many eggs you've earned, and your settings — using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults). This information:

• Never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
• Is only accessible to the App itself, on that one device.
• Is automatically deleted if you delete the App, or can be reset any time from the "Grown-Ups Corner" > Reset Game (behind a parental gate).

4. In-app purchases

Puddle Pals offers one optional one-time purchase (the "Full Pond Unlock") to unlock the full game. All purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit — we never see or store your payment information. Apple's own privacy policy governs any data collected during a purchase; see Apple's Privacy Policy. The purchase supports Family Sharing, so it can be shared across a family's devices under Apple's standard Family Sharing terms.

5. Children's privacy & COPPA

Puddle Pals is designed for children and listed in Apple's Kids Category. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, including children under 13, the App is designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by design — there is simply no data collection mechanism for the App to misuse. There are no ads, no social features, no chat, no user-generated content, and no way for a child to share anything outside the App.

A short arithmetic problem gates the "Grown-Ups Corner" area of the App (where purchases, restore, and reset live) so those actions stay in an adult's hands.

6. Third parties

The only outside company involved at all is Apple, solely to process an optional purchase and to deliver the App through the App Store. We do not share information with, or receive information from, any other third party, advertiser, or data broker — because we don't collect any information to share in the first place.

7. Data retention & deletion

Since nothing is collected or transmitted, there is nothing on our end to retain or delete. Deleting the App from your device removes all locally stored game data immediately.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we'll update the effective date above and post the revised policy at this same address. Since the App doesn't collect contact information from users, we're not able to notify you directly — please check back here if you'd like to review the current policy.
